We want to work with communities and other partners to identify and act on key issues, and we want to support Northerners to live well and to be free from injury and illness.

We are further committed to partnering with Aboriginal people and to building a health system that honors diversity and provides services in a culturally relevant manner.

The area served by Northern Health lies roughly between 53 and 60 degrees north latitude and accounts for two-thirds of the land area of British Columbia. Across this vast landscape there is an unparalleled diversity of Aboriginal peoples and perspectives.

The purpose of this page is to encourage an appreciation for this amazing diversity.
